The Inspiration Behind Zira Jewels
The essential influence of Jewelry on our culture, even since ancient times, is something worthy of our celebration and appreciation.
This, combined with the passion for vibrantly coloured earth-born gemstones, love for nature, and a desire to empower women to embrace their beauty, is what birthed Zira Jewels.
The Name “Zira”
The name Zira comes from a childhood nickname of the Company’s founder, Agnes Nemethi. Agnes was born near the picturesque Hungarian Capital of Budapest, which is known for its cosmopolitan spirit, beautiful bridges, and bold architecture. It was in this vibrant city that Agnes grew in her creative intuition and ability.
About the Designer
Agnes’s passion for art and design began at an early age when, at the age of ten, she crafted a beaded collar for her folk dance outfit.
It was then that her lifelong love affair with Jewelry began.
Later, having acquired bench Jewelry and stone setting skills in her home country, she enrolled at the Gemological Institute of America in Bangkok where she qualified as a Professional Jewelry Designer in 2009.
She fell in love with Bangkok, which is known as the heart of the International Gem Hub, and spent the next decade of her life in the city enrolling in many jewelry classes and workshops.
During this time, she was lucky enough to practice her skills and gain knowledge from some of the greatest Jewelry craftspeople and factories in the world.
The Essence of Zira Jewels
Zira Jewels is the culmination of decades devoted to the study and creation of Jewelry.
Agnes’s unique style takes simple shapes and transforms them into extraordinary pieces by combining gemstones, precious metals and other unusual materials that inspired her creative flair as she traveled extensively around the world and grew in her passionate love for the natural environment.
